The layover meal

Airport Chili's is a restaurant the way a vending machine is a pantry. The burger arrived. The fries were the fries. A television was on too loud. I was in a terminal and I needed calories. The restaurant did the assignment and nothing else.

I am scoring the experience, not dunking on the line cooks, who are fighting a kitchen that was never designed. They got it out hot. That is more than I can say for a lot of 'real' rooms this year.

If you are stuck, it will feed you. If you have a choice, walk further. The further place is also mediocre, but it is not this.
