A shift that does not cut away

Noah Wyle walks back into an ER and the camera just stays there.

Worth the look

The Pitt (2025)

MINUTECRITIC · Jun 2, 2026

The Pitt is built like a shift. One hour on the clock, no miracle in the commercial break, a hospital that looks used. Wyle has the face of a guy who already lost the argument with the building. The nurses and residents are the show. Cases overlap. Nobody gets a speech when a speech would be fake.

It is not subtle about the American ER being a policy failure. It does not need to be. If you can stomach the blood, you will come out quieter than you went in.

One episode feels like a full night. That is the design.
