The predictable night

Garden Inn is the American hotel as a default setting. White duvet, a microwave you will not use, a gym you will skip. I slept. The shower was hot. The hallway smelled like carpet cleaner and other people's dinners. Perfect, in a way.

People dunk on chains and then sleep terribly in a 'design' hotel. I am too old for that bit. Score is for the night you have, not the night you post.

Book it when you need sleep more than a story. You will sleep. You will not remember the art.
