The romantasy everyone already finished

Fourth Wing is the book that turned a lot of people back into readers, and I am not going to sneer at that. Dragons, a brutal school, a slow-burn that is not that slow. Rebecca Yarros knows how to end a chapter so you do the dumb thing and start the next one.

The writing is not what I would call elegant. It does not care. If you want sentences, go to James. If you want to feel something at 1 a.m., this is the machine. I made it through and did not pick up book two the next morning. That is my honest score.

Fun if you want to be carried. Not for me as a diet, but I see the engine.
