Four episodes and no easy out

Adolescence is a short limited series about a kid, a crime, and a family that cannot get the week to sit still. I went in cold. That is the right way. The long takes are not a gimmick once you are in them. They are a trap, and you agreed to it.

I am not going to recap the plot. I will say this: it is better than most of the true-crime stuff Netflix shoves at you, and it is heavier. Do not put it on while you fold laundry.

Watch it when you can give it your full attention. Not background TV.
