A company as a three-hour novel
Long, dense, and worth it if you like knowing how a giant actually happened.
Acquired
MINUTECRITIC · Jul 9, 2026
Acquired is what happens when two people decide a company is a novel and they are going to read it out loud. Three hours when a newsletter would take three minutes. The extra time is the product: cap tables, accidents, the person in the room who said no.
It is a little in love with its subjects. Sometimes NVIDIA really is a miracle. Sometimes it is timing and a regulator taking a nap. The show is better when it admits the second thing.
Listen on a long drive. Do not listen while cooking unless you enjoy burning a pan.
