Attended a pre-screen, as it is set to open this weekend and all I can say is wow. It was one of the Mystery Monday Movies at Regal and have seen no marketing for this film. RZA, the leader of Wu-Tang Clan, tells the story of Unique, an ex-con, war hero, trying to restart his life in a small town in Ohio. This small town has a lot of skeletons in its closet as murders, disappearing people, corrupt cops, white supremacists and organ selling are all over the place. As Unique (Shameik Moore) gets mixed up with the white supremacists, he begins to dig in and uncover many of the various issues within the town, which results in a major clash at the end. This story takes you on a wild ride that also makes you shake your head many times. I really enjoyed this film and hope it gets the respect it deserves. This one gets three and a half out of four Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!
