DMV appointment, as a service

A government website that almost works
I got a time, I showed up, I left with a sticker. In 2026 that is a glowing review.
DMV appointment, as a service
MINUTECRITIC · Jul 27, 2026
The DMV is the consumer service everyone already has a joke about. Mine is out of date. I made an appointment online, sat in a chair that has seen things, and was out in 40 minutes. A person behind glass did their job. I did mine.
Is it delightful? No. Is it a trap? Also no. Competence should be documented or it disappears. Documented.
Make the appointment. Do not walk in 'real quick.' Bring the PDF, not the vibe.

Labor Day store hours

Holiday hours are the product. The closed sign is doing the work.
Apps still take the order. A lot of counters will not. That split is the consumer story of the day.

The fall subscription stack is the real premiere
