I am not writing a spec sheet. I am writing what the night felt like. New Nintendo box, Mario Kart, somebody's cousin who 'does not game' winning a cup and talking trash. That is the product Nintendo actually sells.

Was every launch title a masterpiece? No. Was the room better than another night of four phones? Yes. Score the night, not the press release.

The machine is an excuse to put people in a room. That still works.
