All the Oscar buzz but not truly Supreme. Chalamet's performance as Marty Mauser, the top-table tennis player in the world is worthy of recognition.
However, the screenplay from Safdie and Bronstein tries to jam so much in your face. Think of the movie as a blurry combination of Rounders and Uncut Gems. Three and a half out of four Reeses' Peanut Butter Cups.
