DoorDash is a consumer service that turned a $14 sandwich into a $27 event. Service fee, delivery fee, tip for a person who is doing a real job, a small bag. I am not mad at the driver. I am mad at the receipt.
If it is ice or a fever, fine. If it is a Tuesday and you have a car, you are paying a luxury tax to avoid shoes. I have done it. I am scoring the times I did it when I should not have.
Walk if you can. Call the restaurant if you cannot. The app is the most expensive waiter in town.
