A French RPG that treats turn-based combat like a dance. I did not expect to care this much.

Expedition 33 looks like a painting that learned to fight. Turn-based, but the parry timing is the art. The world has a wound: every year a number gets painted in the sky and people of that age vanish. You are the party sent to stop the painter. That could have been a trailer. It is a whole game.

I am not usually the RPG guy who finishes the 40th hour. I finished this one. If you have been waiting for a single-player game that is not open-world sludge, this is it.

Best new RPG I have played in years. Give it a decent screen and do not rush the music.
