The movie is marketed as the story of Michael Jackson and spoiler alert, it's only part of the story of Michael Jackson. First thing, Jaefar Jackson (Michael's nephew) does an amazing job portraying Michael and Coleman Domingo is awesome as Joe Jackson. So how I feel about the movie has nothing to do with the acting. The money grab approach to this movie by Lionsgate and the Director is disappointing. This biopic only tells half the story of Michael's life, the challenges he faced with his father and all the positives that Michael accomplished in the first part of his life and career. The music is also great but I just did not like the overall approach the Director took and now we will get a part 2 potentially at some point that will likely be a very dark 2 hour movie. As a result, I give Michael two and a half Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!
