I had not seen a preview for this and just saw a reboot of The Mummy, so I thought Brendan Fraser solid action movie. Holy crap was that a bad assumption to make. Lee Cronin's The Mummy is a wild ride. An American journalist is in Cairo with his family on the job when his young daughter gets kidnapped. Kidnapped by who? Basically the leader of a satanic cult family. Eight years later the family receives a call that their daughter has been found. This is where the wild ride starts as you enter a demonic horror film. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I think part of it was because I went in blind. The acting is solid and the story is well put together for the most part. I give this one three out of four Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
