The Secret: Dare to Dream

Katie Holmes. Josh Lucas. Jerry O'Connell. Great cast that feeds off each other well. It was a Hollywood version of a Hallmark movie. It's based on a popular book series of the same name. By the end, you understand why this is a hit book series. Initially I thought this was a late 2000s movie finding new life on Netflix, but it turns out it was released during the pandemic in 2020. So not many people saw it in theaters. There was something peaceful about it that felt like the 2000s though. More about story. Less about technology. I guess that's what you get when you take the setting outside of the city. Like a Hallmark movie, this was charming. Like a Hallmark movie, you're waiting for it to uplift you. And like a Hallmark movie there may be some twists you just might see coming. There's some quality messaging about life and there's a quality love story. Very enjoyable family movie.
