The Bruce Springsteen (Jeremy Allen White) biopic was messy. White did a good job in portraying Springsteen, but the movie focuses on a time period in Bruce's life where he was struggling with depression and grappling with a number of things that happened during his childhood. It definitely tugs at the emotions a few times during the movie, however there is little consistency to how the Director wants to tell the story. If you know nothing about Bruce, learning and watching the battle as he pushes to release the Nebraska album would be interesting. If you are a diehard Bruce fan you'll leave feeling it was messy.
