You know the one. Grainy photos, a sister on a couch, a former FBI guy, a twist that is not a twist. Netflix has a machine for this and the machine is tired. I watched one this month out of habit and felt like I owed the people on screen an apology.
Multimedia criticism has to say when a form is used up. This form is used up. Watch 20 Days in Mariupol or a documentary that had to fight to exist. Leave the template on the shelf.
The good ones still exist. This template is not one of them. Pick a better object.
