A room, not a livestream
I paid too much to stand in a room that smelled like beer and a PA. I would do it again.
A mid-size DC show · Washington, D.C.

There is a version of music criticism that only happens on headphones. This is the other one. A room in the District, a band that is not quite famous, a floor that sticks. The sound was a little too loud on the high end. The night was still a night.
Streaming the live video after is a souvenir, not the thing. If you are going to spend the money, spend it on being there. That sounds obvious. Most of us needed the reminder after a few years of couch concerts.
Go for the band you already like. Leave before the encore if the night is done. That is allowed.
