People We Meet On Vacation
Stars Emily Bader and Tom Blyth, two actors I was unfamiliar with before today. Now I certainly am. Both put on a great performance that felt real to its core. Friends by circumstance. Vacation friends. Best friends. Will they, won't they. This one has it all. It's based on a book of the same name. The title is a bit misleading. I took it literally and expected it to focus on various people you meet. Instead the story’s focus is on two people and the other characters introduced are mere background noise. So the title takes on a deeper meaning. Outside of the title, the story is told in nonlinear fashion so it may not be for those who prefer a standard beginning, middle, and end. Still, it's a solid story. The messaging will resonate for anyone who may have developed feelings for a friend and anyone that's ever had a problem finding themselves. Also, after watching I couldn't help but want to go on a vacation myself. You too?
