The window is the movie

News in movies is too often a trailer, a number, a feud. The actual current event is the window: the number of days a picture is allowed to be a night out before it becomes a thumbnail. That number keeps getting smaller for anything that cannot merchandise a toy.

A review of a movie that never had a chance to be public is a different object than a review of a movie that was. We will keep noting the difference. Watch the dates, not the slogans.
