The local paper is the missing infrastructure

National politics is loud. The zoning board is understaffed, and so is the reporter who used to go.

Counties lost papers and then they lost the person who knew what the school board actually voted on. National outlets will not replace that. A newsletter might. A Facebook group will try and then fill with rumors.

MINUTECRITIC is not going to pretend it is your county paper. We will say when a civic story is being covered only as a national mood. If you still have a local reporter, subscribe. That is the most political act on this list.
